Beyond coaching and writing, Summer is an event host and master connector. She founded Konnexions in 2020 and Fab Collabs in 2024 as spaces where entrepreneurs form collaborations that matter. How Did We Even Get Started?
The Story Behind Konnexions and Fab Collabs
When the world shut down in 2020, something unexpected happened; doors that were once local blew wide open. Solopreneurs discovered Zoom, and suddenly the stage was global. That’s when I started Konnexions, a simple idea with a bold purpose: to help people connect, share, and grow together. For 21 months, the group thrived as a buzzing networking community where new opportunities were born every week.
Then life threw me the hardest curveball yet. I was handed a diagnosis and told I had two weeks to live. What followed was a long cancer journey, surgery, and a hard reset. In that time, I saw the flaws in how people were networking, random connections without intention, conversations that led nowhere, and missed chances to truly collaborate. I knew I had to come back stronger.
In October 2023, I re-opened Konnexions. This time, it was more than just networking; it was about creating real bonds that moved people forward. A few months later, the spark for Fab Collabs was born. Where Konnexions built the bridges, Fab Collabs gave people the tools to walk across them together.
Growth didn’t happen overnight. It was gradual, rooted in the quality of people who showed up, people with ambition, creativity, and the courage to build something bigger than themselves. Together, we’re rewriting the rules of how solopreneurs thrive.
